About Seeds
Sculptor Finn Eirik Modahl. The title of the work, Seeds, also takes us into universal and optimistic territory β seeds of change, seeds of hope, new beginnings, looking to the future, etc. The sculptureβs magical arresting appearance made me think of the magic beans in the fairy tale, Jack in the Beanstalk, but instead of a giant beanstalk, the giant pinecones of Norway and Minnesota brough to mind a colossal pine tree overlooking and protecting the earth. The glittering Seeds are a potent sign of hope and renewal, calling to mind the vitality and resilience of nature and the excitement of all the possibilities inherent in each new beginning.

The Norway House unveiled a metal sculpture by Finn Eirik Modahl called "SEEDS" . It is located outside the entrance to the Norway House building in downtown Minneapolis. It is a real treasure, and well worth your time to visit. The silver sheen on the high polished metal is unique to any sculpture I've ever seen. Finn Eirik Modal is a very talented Nordic artist with other works and installations in Norway.
